Internationalization
Internationalization is one of today's main themes for both Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and its alumni association. Since the School is attracting students from all over the world, the alumni organization has started branching out, outside of Belgium into countries with large alumni contingents. Beside developing an internationally relevant portfolio of services, one of the goals of Vlerick Alumni's global strategy is to create alumni chapters, i.e. formal associations of Vlerick alumni residing in a specific country or region and representing the alumni in that area. All chapters are run by a team of alumni under the lead of a liaison officer. In Germany, Singapore, South Africa and Spain, alumni events were organized, but there is not yet a formal chapter. Should you, as an alumnus, be living in a country with a too small alumni contingent for starting up a chapter, you can help us by functioning as an alumni ambassador. This means that you are e.g. available for questions of alumni who are interested in doing business in your country or of prospective students who live in your home country or for attending MBA fairs in your home country.
